In a technological and connected world like ours, making sure a business possesses a solid online presence is of utmost importance. Setting up a website where customers can learn about the company’s mission, products, and services, updating and engaging clients through Facebook posts and Instagram pictures or advertising online are all valuable tools to establish long-term relationships with customers and promote the business.
There are two courses available, each one offering different qualifications to train future Sales, Marketing, Communication, Social Media or Public Relations Managers to be competitive in today’s global business environment.
The Marketing and Communication course offers a wide range of certifications, which allow prospective professionals to interpret market trends, present and debate ideas, develop integrated marketing communication plans and develop advertising campaigns.
The Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication (duration: 20 to 28 weeks) provides the foundations for the marketing concepts relevant to today’s competitive business environment.
It allows anyone to develop skills and knowledge of the different digital media areas as well as the ability to conduct research and present ideas effectively, acquire the language and framework needed to identify and develop the relevant information to update marketing strategies.
Individuals in these roles apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyze information from a variety of sources.
They typically report to senior practitioners but may provide basic leadership and guidance to others as well.
The Diploma of Marketing and Communication (duration: 40 to 52 weeks) takes the foundations provided in the Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication and extends digital skills to the strategic level required to manage a marketing program and identify trends that could constitute opportunities or barriers to market products or services.
It applies to individuals with a sound theoretical knowledge of marketing and communication principles.
The course units still focus on digital and social media material but also promote the development of those managerial skills required to effectively lead a creative team.
The Advanced Diploma of Marketing & Communication (52 weeks) fosters a deeper understanding of how organisations identify and satisfy the needs of their customers and how they organise the resources needed to nurture them. Through various modules, students will develop the theoretical and practical marketing skills needed to drive organisational growth through a profitable implementation of marketing strategies.
They analyze, design and execute information and plans using a wide range of managerial, conceptual, technical and creative competencies and are accountable for the overall performance of the marketing and communication, advertising or public relations functions of an organisation.
Sales management, business-to-business marketing, product development, digital marketing and communication as well as the legal and ethical implications of marketing in Australia are some of the topics covered during the course.
It targets individuals who play a leadership role in the marketing and communication activities of an organisation.
The Social Media course explores the possibilities offered by digital media tools, while still ensuring students get a clear grasp of core marketing principals.
Its modules offer a wide range of essential marketing and communication topics (e.g. how to effectively apply marketing strategies) but shift the attention towards social networks.
They focus on website content development, community management, influencer marketing, social media brand development, multichannel communication and research, planning and measuring of social media campaigns and activities.
The Diploma of Social Media Marketing (52 weeks) is a nationally accredited and first-of-its-kind qualification in social media marketing. It was created by social media experts from Australia, the US, and the UK and provides valuable real-case material that can be easily applied to the real world.
